Steps to Obtain the License in Sharjah Publishing City
The following steps are to be followed for obtaining the business license in Sharjah Publishing City:
1. Finalize the Business Activity
To obtain a business license, choose a commercial activity. The business activity that you want to proceed with.
2. Finalize the Trade Name
Choose a trading name that is distinct from any existing Sharjah firm. Then, finalize the one proper name for your business appropriate for the business activities.
3. Obtain the Primary Approval
The Sharjah Department of Economic Development for preliminary clearance by submitting the necessary documents.
4. Submit the Relevant Documents
Submit paperwork to the appropriate government to register your business. The government needs to provide the clearance, and only you can obtain your license.
5. Obtain a business license
A Certificate of Registration and a Business License will be issued to you following the assessment and approval of your application.
Documents Required for Company Setup in Sharjah Publishing City
- Passport photocopy
- Copy of a residency permit (if already in the UAE)
- A copy of the manager's educational transcript
- Two photos the size of a passport
*This applies to all the proposed company's Directors, Shareholders, and Managers.
*The following documents must also be submitted with your application, notarized and attested copies in case your business is already established outside the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone.
- Declaration of Incorporation
- Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Good Standing
- Memorandum of Association Board Resolution approving the formation of a business in the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (if applicable).
